UMRCC Objectives
Promote preservation & wise utilization of natural & recreational resources of the Upper Mississippi River.
Formulate policies, plans, & programs for carrying on cooperative surveys and studies.
Provide recommendations to governing State bodies in support of the objectives of the UMRCC.

The Upper Mississippi River Conservation Committee (UMRCC), consists of natural resource managers from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. It was created in 1943 to promote a continuing cooperation between conservation agencies on the Upper Mississippi River.
